At Malvern College Tokyo, Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) are an integral part of our commitment to developing the whole child. We believe that CCA are as important as our academic programme in supporting pupils in their personal development, helping them to grow in confidence, discover new interests and develop the Malvern Qualities that guide our school community. They also offer valuable opportunities to build relationships with peers and the dedicated staff who lead each of the activities.
A Rich and Innovative Co-Curricular Programme
Our CCA programme complements pupils throughout their learning journey – from the early years through prep school and into senior school. With more than 100 activities taking place every week, pupils can explore a wide range of opportunities that go beyond our core programmes. As in other high-quality international schools in Tokyo, our programme blends academic enrichment with sport, creativity, leadership, innovation, and wellbeing.
Prep 1–3 Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)
Our Prep 1–3 CCAs run on Tuesdays and Thursdays and provide hands-on, engaging experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence and holistic development. While optional, they are a very popular and much-loved part of school life.
-
Sessions run until 4:20 pm on both days.
-
Activities operate on six-week cycles, enabling every pupil to experience all 12 activities by June.
-
Pupils explore creativity, movement, inquiry, communication and collaboration—key learning competencies encouraged across leading IB schools.
Please note: Pupils travelling on Route A–D school buses who join CCA are unable to take the bus after their activity.
